Bidra med feedbackI ordered the BBQ chicken... When I opened my to go container it looked like they had put a half of a store bought rotisserie chicken in there. There was no smoke taste or aroma. I wonder if they thought I ordered baked chicken because that definitely wasn't barbecued in any way, shape or form. The potato salad was good, baked beans so so. The mustard bbq sauce was excellent!
I'd give it 3.5 if I could. The service was great and the meat portions were good. I got takeout and the little Styrofoam containers they used for the sides made the portions on the smallish side. The BBQ sandwich was good not great. The ribs weren't smoked enough for me but the were very tender. The green beans were so very bland, the mac and cheese was ok. The fried okra was good and the sweet potato casserole was the best of the sides by far. I feel like if I'd dined in my experience would have been better and I will try them again but for one of their meat and 2 specials and dine in.
Awesome prices and the food is always fresh. The Sanders family is super friendly and make you feel appreciated ?
The people seem super nice. The place is clean and welcoming. However, I have lived in the south my entire life and this is by far the worst brisket I have ever had. Imagine taking turkey bacon, microwaving it until its slightly warm then coating it eith bbq sauce and calling it brisket. The others at my table had the pulled pork and were equally disappointed. Stay away from the BBQ. Maybe the short order items are better.
We ordered brisket and back ribs and that must be the best grill I had. Admittedly, I didn't have too many different grills, but I'm sure that would be up there. The pricing is really good and the person I met at picking up my order was super sweet and healthy.
