29 Pub Champion Masstige(no.2) - Seoul

3 to 4 star pub in Gangnam. Tho it’s a “pub”, there are very few choices of beer to start with. Also, the place has this unique smell which is similar to that of a hair salon — I found this not appealing for drinking/snacking. They have good price for drinks, but for getting a drink or two, I would not recommend this place since there’s an small entrance fee per person(which they inform you after sitting down, rather than collecting them at the front desk) requirement to purchase at least one snack/food item which the lowest price is 16,000KRW (about $13 US).

Busy pub with a lot of hidden costs. Not the kind of place you can sit down at the bar and have a drink despite the design which looks like a classy bar. Have to pay a cover charge and the menu recommends you order a side dish, which I discovered is not a recommendation but a requirement. All the side dishes cost around 30,000 won. So my one drink together with a fruit bowl side came to around 45,000. Guess it might be worth it if you came with a group, but don’t expect a typical social western bar experience.

The bar was almost without people, but I had to wait a very long time for my cocktails.although there were two bartenders in the bar. the woman bartender who made me cocktails probably did it for the first time, so I had to order just a whiskey after a successful cocktail.m at the end they took more money from me than it was written on the menu. this bar is more suitable for koreans who just drink soju and have no taste for alcohol.

This place has a great atmosphere, and it is easy to reach, but I would not say that the prices are the best. My friend and I sat at the bar, and we found that it was much quieter and easier to talk about it while, everywhere else a little crowded and seemed loud. The bartenders were pretty nice considering that some seem a little comprehending to serve an American person who speaks little Korean. After sitting, we immediately received a free champagne, which added a beautiful little touch to the entire ambience. My only complaint would be that my friend ordered the fruit plate, and she got the cheese plate, although she was lactose intolerant. We told the bartender that this was wrong, and he somehow wiped it off and said that we had accidentally said the wrong one. It was still good, and we enjoyed it, but it would have been nice to get some more fruit.

Music and atmosphere are good, but too crowded, narrow, not enough space to sit in or move around ! ╮ ╯ ╰ ╭
