Alder Wood Bistro And Wood-fired Pizza

This time we had the meatloaf and it was everything others are raving about.

We sat outside in the garden and it was so pretty and such a great vibe. The food was also delicious. The cedar plank salmon was so tender and flaky and the pizzas were delicious.

We ate outdoors in the garden surrounded by flowers in bloom and a fountain. When a chill grabbed a hold with the sun setting, soft blankets were brought out. The service provided mostly by Melanie was prompt, intelligent with great humor and considerate of my g/f needs. Kudos to the chef for an exceptional menu with very creative combinations of fresh seasonal ingredients and unique outstanding flavors. Deserts also are light but satisfying and with unique chacteristics. Definitely put this one on the map to return to in the future.

This is my first time to leave a review. If I could give this place more stars, I would! The food was out of this world exceptional and the service was outstanding, too. All restaurant staff were friendly in that lovely Pacific NW way. The quality of ingredients and preparation were outstanding. Perfect balance of flavors and portions. We had the root fritters, calamari salad, and cedar plank ivory salmon. When I travel, I usually like to check out different spots in town but this time we're going back to Alder Wood again for dinner tonight to try more of the dishes that looked so amazing. Bonus that there's a lot of variety to accommodate different diets.

A truly excellent meal from the appetizers through desert. Chef clearly puts a lot of thought into the menu and the service is excellent.
