Bidra med feedbackUpon our arrival in Setubal we asked the owner of our beautiful hillside hideaway to recommend a good seafood restaurant. Pinga Amor was his favourite, so off we went in search of a feast! We found it hidden away on a hillside street in town, in a residential neighborhood. No fanfare, no frills but very clean well organised. A great place to eat with very good prices and a wide selection of food wines to choose from. They also sell some of their local cheeses, wines and seafood in a 'shop ' area at the front of the restaurant. Warmly welcomed, we were seated near the kitchen, with a window hatch looking behind the scenes. The restaurant was packed with happy locals and we were the only tourists there. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the local stewed mini razor clams. This was such a delicious treat and a dish we had never seen offered anywhere else before! The cheeses, wines and breads were outstandiing! (Try the locally made Moscatel wines! Our other selections, fresh crab, seafood pasta, octopus salad etc were all excellent and portions were plentiful. A feast to be sure! The kitchen staff took obvious delight in seeing us enjoy our meal and many smiles and thumbs up were sent their way! A great experience! This is certainly a place to savour locally caught delicacies and we wished we 'd had more time to return to taste everything on their menu and judging by the local clientelle, that 's exactly what they were all doing! This is a true 'Hidden Treasure '. A great experience! Thank you! Ping Amor II, for such a memorable evening!!!
I visited Pinga Amor II with a Portuguese friend who knew it well. We ordered several dishes, each of which was superb, but my particular favourite was their was of cooking prawns a subtle mix of sauce and herbs (I think coriander). Unforgettable food and great service.
A bit far from the center this place is worth a very good review!!! It is one of those restaurant where people come in groups or couple and share a plate of snails and a beer, and that’s it!!! The bill! Others (6) share a crabe and some fries. But even if the place is great some dishes are better to be eaten elsewhere, like the choko Frito! Was chewy and served way too big!!! One of their speciality is a soup with rice and seafood! Nothing special to be honest! Sorry but ordering their clams is a better idea! Go and enjoy
