Bidra med feedbackWe like chinese food and it was the nearest restaurant to the hotel, so we went there and we were very hungry. We seated at a table feeling very enthuziastic and then the waiter approached and he litteraly throwed the menus on the table and left. Because of his rudeness we left too, so I do not recommend this restaurant
The flyer indicated that the restaurant opened in the evening at 1930. So we went along at 1945 (the evening of Friday 3 January 2014). On entering we were greeted by a young man who was in the midst of setting tables. He seemed to be slightly bemused to see us. The place was otherwise deserted. We confirmed that we did indeed wish to eat and were duly led to our table. The young man then fetched two menus handed these to us and then wandered off to do something more interesting. I waited a moment to see if he would return to carry out the customary ritual of asking us what we might care to drink whilst perusing his menu. He didn 't. At last exasperated I was obliged to call out to him to get his attention. He returned to our table and with that same mildly bewildered look took our drinks order. We had ordered won tons, and spring rolls for starters and were in the middle of enjoying these when our main course of chicken curry, fried prawns and fried rice were barged onto our table. Meantime a large noisy family group (presumably mine host and relatives) commenced their evening meal at a table close to the kitchen. They seemed cheerily oblivious to our presence as they clattered and chattered their way happily through their repast. For my part I had the slightly un nerving sensation of being an unwelcome intruder, spying on a happy family scene. Throughout the whole of the period of 'restaurant owner 's family evening meal time ' we were completely ignored. We ceased to exist. A short time later I had occasion to use the 'rest room '. This is found in a dimly lit corner of the premises with light switches, door handles and toilet flush mechanism all having the same 'sticky to the touch ' feel. Hand drying in the restroom was accomplished by the use of a cotton towel. (Always a worry that). The Gran Muralla is in desperate need of a general makeover not least of which concerning staff attitude. The attitude to the paying customer at the time of our visit I would characterise as apathetic bordering upon complete indifference.
