Bidra med feedbackSuch a treat to find this delightful restaurant. Tasty in every way. A variety of wonderful flavors. Service was perfect. Fun.
I have to say that despite the name and atmosphere of this place giving off a healthy, zen raw vegan yoga garden vibe, it's actually a standard Chinese vegetarian restaurant (with dishes that use a lot of oil). However, I wasn't disappointed, because the food was delicious. I ordered broad beans, my usual go-to dish, and it was excellent with a perfect balance of spices. They were out of black fungus, so they substituted with another cold fungus dish that was also enjoyable. The fresh apple juice was a nice touch, even though it came after I had finished two dishes. They even gave a complimentary sweet herbal soup, which was a nice surprise. The highlight of the meal was the mushroom pie - a high-quality, vegan version of a street pie, but at a higher price. It was so good that I would happily eat it every day. The staff were attentive and the kitchen worked efficiently. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
I have visited this restaurant multiple times because it is conveniently located near my office. Unfortunately, I have never been completely satisfied with my dining experience. The food lacks flavor and excitement, even the spicy dishes are disappointingly bland.
After relocating, the restaurant has rebranded as Amrita. The new location is simple, clean, and elegant. The menu is not finalized yet, but it is catered towards locals with set meal deals for 32 rmb. During the soft opening night, the service was a bit unsettled, but the food was fantastic. We particularly enjoyed the potato and rice fried pancakes, ordering another portion. The dumplings were delicious as always. The owner recommended some unique dishes that turned out to be surprisingly tasty. I look forward to revisiting and updating this review once they have settled into their new space.
I have visited this restaurant multiple times since it's near my location, but I have never been truly satisfied with the experience. The food lacks flavor and excitement, even the supposedly spicy dishes are bland and lack any real kick.
