Bidra med feedbackI 'm a local and I wasn 't on vacation the one time I came here, but this needs to be shared here. I came in only once. My first and only time and the lady (I think someone told me her name was Spike or something rather) gave out this 'eff my life ' vibe and the lights were dim. I didn 't feel welcomed or assisted at all as a first time. I eventually picked out a small meal. Before she rang me up at the register she handed me a card and said You get to wash the dishes, so come back at 4pm. Really? I recently passed by here and it appears that the store is closed/gone, and if it is I couldn 't be more ecstatic. I hope it never comes back. Side note, I didn 't visit in January 2022, but it was the earliest date available on the 'When did you visit? ' tab, which it required me to answer.
Spent my while lunch just trying to locate. Not available during posted hours.
Our friend Robert Camden Campbell, resident of ROB K road in Georgia, got the bratwurst dog topped with all the additional toppings available, along with a baked bean side and a loaded nacho basket with wine to drink. He really enjoyed his meal and we’re taking him again when we are nearby next time. Rob loves the beach and hot dogs so this was perfect for him. 11/10 recommend Big Daddy’s Hot Dogs! Camden says, “Run on over, you won’t regret it!” He also cleared his entire plate and ate some of his girlfriends too since he loved it so much!
Found this little hole in the wall recently during a weekend drive. The interior is very simple and clean. The cashier who doubled as the cook took our orders of lobster rolls and a Chicago Dawg and had them made to order pretty quickly. The lobster rolls were very good and loaded with fresh meat. My Chicago dawg was grilled perfectly with a nice snap to it and loaded with traditional toppings. Pretty reasonably priced menu and would definately go back if I was in the area ! !
I gotta admit that I have a soft spot for a Chicago dawg done right. I popped into Big Daddy’s the other day for the first time and what a surprise in store for me...How can you improve upon the iconic “drug thru da garden” which has been the way its been done for generations???? Well 2 things were slightly altered, I think a Hebrew National wiener was substituted for a Chicago Vienna Beef and the authentic poppy seed roll was grilled panini style with grill markings making for a firm crunchy bun. The toppings were perfect in the right proportions and super fresh. The finely chopped onions were icy cold meaning that they did not sit out on the counter all day, the tomato slice was ripe and had just a smidget of celery salt, 3 fat juicy sport peppers, a crisp pickle spear and neon green relish were artfully placed on top the dawg. It’s as good as it gets....however, there is a caveat and that is the price. One dawg without any sides or drink was $6.35. I could have gotten 2 for that price at other Vienna Beef joints. I’ll have to pace my visits to coincide with my budget. BUT when I go, I’ll go BIG!!!!
