Huhot Mongolian Grill - Shawnee

A great time, great experience and my first time for Mongolian BBQ. Our waiter was inexperienced, but he gave him his best. I'll repeat it. Bravo.

We stopped in and tried this location over the weekend. It being Mother's day we did have to wait but only for a few minutes. The host worked really hard to keep our wait short. Our waitress explained how the Mongolian worked, and answered all our questions. She was really fast at refilling our drinks as well. The employees working the grill were very nice. Each time they spoke they smiled and I really appreciated that. The food was good, and there was an employee making sure the bar was full and clean the entire time. (He was really nice too). The food itself was okay. We eat Mongolian style quite often so we compared it to others we have tried- it wasn't our favorite but it for sure was good. The sauce options were good and everything seemed fresh. I appreciated that the meat was sliced really thin. It makes the line go faster at the grill, but the rest of the family didn't like how thin it was. Great place to go try and it is reasonably priced.

I really enjoy Mongolian grill's. HuHot is a good CLEAN restaurant. I love the vegetable and sauce choices I just wish they had eggs as a choice.

I'm spoiled from the Huhot in Lawrence, or maybe I'm just not having the best of luck. At this location, I always have to make do with one cup to drink for the whole meal. There are other nitpicks i could get into, but I keep coming back for the build your own meal format.

We dined here due to its proximity to an event we were attending. The server was aware it was our first visit. This is like an all you can eat type place-we were unaware. So when I ordered these over done pot stickers and soup as my meal I was so surprised with what I got. My soup literally had 3 spoonfuls in it and it wasn't until the end of my meal when I was charged $5 for the 3 bites that I questioned anything. She then told me I could have gotten more. How was I to know... But by this time we had to go anyways. The soup taste more like chicken noodle then egg drop. The stir fry was fine according to my other diner. But I'll never return.
