Taco Bueno - Shawnee

I recently took the management position, I understand that things in the past were not good with the experience in Taco Bueno, at the Shawnee site, I apologize for all the bad ones you had. I do my best to turn things and make the changes that need to be done, I will do my best to give the best service we can offer, Please be patient with us as we make these changes. I love this taco bueno. I will say, they are greasy and usually understaffed- but its the best cheap mexican in town. If you're like me and love food that will give you a heart attack- don't look any further.

I had a great experience at this restaurant! The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and polite. As far as fast food goes, the food is quite good—definitely better than Taco Bueno on 12th in Norman. Tonight, I tried the Big Freak'n Taco Salad, but I wasn't a fan; the meat didn't taste very fresh, and the bowl was falling apart. However, I understand that the franchise itself isn't entirely responsible for the product quality—this is mainly on the company. My nephew ordered the Beef Mucho Nachos, as he always does, and he was reluctant to share his leftovers with me since he wanted to save them for tomorrow. My niece really enjoyed her Nacho Salad. This isn’t my first visit, and I know it won't be my last!

After 10:30, the dining room was closed. When the woman opened the door, she informed us it would be a 20-minute wait. Since we had other plans, we decided to leave and returned at 11:30. When we arrived, there were only two customers. During lunch, they managed both the drive-thru and the dining room efficiently, and did an excellent job despite being short-staffed. While they didn't have the chance to make guacamole or set up the salsa bar, I wasn't upset about it. Both employees were friendly and handled everything really well given the circumstances.

We ordered two boxes tonight, and the manager was the only one working. She was very upfront about the wait time, and we appreciated her honesty. Once our food arrived, it was perfect. A big thank you to the wonderfully kind manager for preparing our meal on this icy, cold night!
