Linne's Pastry Shop Deli - Shelbyville

I love Linnes! I grew up there as a treat when I came from school early/ late or in summer. As an adult I treat my once challenging bus route to an assortment of donuts a few times a year after good behavior. I did the same when I went to another district and bought from Sweet Shoppe in Greenfield. The children are always ecstatic to see that I bought them donuts from Linnes instead of Dunkin! While I belong, I didn't have every donut, my favorite is the chocolate icey stuffed barn. It is the perfect mix of a rich pastry, chocolate and just the right sweetness of the icing inside. The owner of Linnes is simply the coolest. Very on earth, extremely hard workers, honestly, and I love him wearing his weapon with him. He exercises his right to keep him, his employees, his customers and his business safe. It is refreshing to see conservative Christian entrepreneurs- but- they are welcoming and happy to serve EVERYONE! Parking can be a chore during normal breakfast hours, but this could be better with the new parking garage. I am usually at 6:30 am and have no problem parking the bus right there. Recently I ordered half a cake for my casual BBQ wedding reception. It was a comparable price with Sam’s Club or elsewhere – and our local crockery does not even take cake orders due to short employees. It was perfectly damp and a huge hit. Everyone was happy to pamper themselves in a local business product and brought some memories of friends who had made Linnes decades ago for their wedding cakes. It is a nice place, good prices, excellent food and wonderful people. Invite yourself on site and come for your donuts or lunch!

Been in business a long time. Have enjoyed their donuts and bakery since I was a child and thankful I get to share it with my children!!

This place is a little slice of heaven in the middle of nowhere. It's absolutely beautiful, and the people are just as lovely. Their donuts are reasonably priced—so much so that when I tried to buy one of each, they gave me a free one! I can't recommend this place highly enough. Please choose to visit here instead of that rundown casino; you'll be doing a good thing for the folks in Linnes.

The best donuts I’ve ever had! The service is just what you hope for—friendly, efficient, and helpful. They’ve been around for many years, so their experience shows. When you walk in, you really get a feeling of being at home. I think it's because they are family-owned and have built a strong base of loyal customers in their small town. You can feel their authenticity in everything they do. We’ll definitely be back and make the trip as often as we can!

The staff at this restaurant is consistently professional and friendly, even at the early hour of 5:00 AM! They graciously accommodated a special order for me with just two days' notice, which my employees greatly appreciated. And let me tell you, their cronuts, available on Fridays and Saturdays, are absolutely phenomenal!
