Bidra med feedbackKatz's is open 24/7, which is fantastic for late-night cravings when you're looking for something other than fast food. We often use Uber Eats for pickups from there at 3 AM. The sandwiches are excellent, embodying the true New York deli experience. The menu also features some unique items. However, I have to take off one star for their prices. It's tough to rationalize paying $20 for a sandwich, but we do it for the convenience on nights at home when we want to enjoy drinks without the hassle of driving anywhere.
I was hoping for a great deli experience, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The meat in our pastrami and corned beef sandwiches was tough and too dry, lacking in flavor. On a positive note, the restaurant is open 24 hours, which is very convenient. The service was friendly and quick, so I’ll give them three stars.
I initially thought they only served sandwiches, but I'm so glad to discover their menu is more extensive than I expected, and they’re open 24 hours! I ordered the shrimp penne pasta, and I have to warn you – I wouldn’t want to count the calories because the sauce was incredibly rich and creamy. Just a heads-up, it’s quite indulgent! I’ll definitely be returning to try some of the other non-sandwich items on the menu.
Visit our son who recently moved to the woodlands. ordered a reuben to go, new york style, which was a $8 add on, so a $22 sandwich. it should have been filled with freshly made steamed/dryed sawed bark and pastrami. what I received was a thin sandwich with meat particles. an insult of the name of cat and a misservice for great Jewish delis everywhere. I can't imagine that the number of customers who never try a real Jewish deli who had this as their first experience. what a waste of money. I hope next time we visit, kenny and ziggy will have reopened in houston, I drive a one hour and a half round trip to get a real new york deli sandwich.
Fyi: when ordering from yelp, the price is higher, as the ordering of grub hub is processed. better, order directly from the website. the total rating of 3* of other persons is appropriate. I paid $22 to get a new yorker style with more meat. it had about half the meat it should have. the pastrami and corned beef was cold, not steamed and warm. the brot tasted as if it had just come out of a bag. my expectation is that fresh bread and fresh meat is. no new yorker Deli experience in my book. we visit the family in the woodlands and try this. we drive the extra route to go to kenny and ziggy in houston, now this is a Jewish deli!
