On The Border Mexican Grill Cantina Sherwood

Cheese dive was cool and thick, part of my order was wrong. The taco I ordered came out with less than one spoon of meat and a sprinkle of cheese. It was basically all bowl!

Chips and salsa were good. So was the queso, but that 's where it all started going bad. Ordered the chimichanga. It came out piping hot but the beef was so chunky and not evened out. The beans were cold. Obviously had just been pulled out of the freezer and not warmed up enough. Got fries instead of rice and theybwere delicious and perfectly fried. The service started off great but the girl had to leave and pick up her friend so she told us she 'd have a coworker check on us. That never happened. We were completely forgotten about and had to flag down the bartender to ask for a check. Nobody ever thought to ask if we were ok or if we needed anything so either they dropped the ball or she didn 't tell anybody we still needed attention? Regardless it was a terrible experience from the cold beans to the overall neglected service. Can 't see a reason to return ?

Came in on a Saturday night. Thought there would be a big wait but we were seated within 3 minutes. Big roomy restaurant with a bar. Lots of tables and booths. Served chips and salsa quickly after being seated. Our waitress was extremely efficient, very friendly and fast. Wish I would have gotten her name. Food came within 8-10 minutes, very fast. Everything tasted good. Great restaurant!

This was our, my husband and I, first experience eating here. And boy were we disappointed, especially since the place was all but empty. We were seated, and sat there for 10 minutes before we were brought menus. Service was extremely slow, to say the least. Our waitress was not organized, brought things at different times, our food was warm, at best, when we finally got it and we hated to ask for anything because it took her forever to do a simple task. Like bring us silverware before our meal was served or refill me tea. Had to wait on that as well. It was probably the worst service we had ever had in a restaurant. The only reason it got 2 stars was the food was good. Other than that a thumbs down and wont go back.

This On The Border is outstanding! The restaurant is clean and well kept. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure your dining experience is pleasant. Some in particular are Hollie and Josh, they were working the bar section and made sure everyone was taken care of and happy, they are very engaging; which in our current climate is almost unheard of. They also customized my fajita order the way I like it, which shows the level of customer service you'll get here. The food itself was also perfect, the culinary artists in the back do an awesome job of adding just the right spices to make the dish memorable (and quite filling). They also have draft beer which, seriously, who doesn't love cold draft beer? I highly recommend this On The Border if you want excellent food at reasonable prices, and also friendly and professional service with smiles. A service all around!
