Bidra med feedbackZaffron Kitchen offers good Indian cuisine. While the iPad ordering system replaces traditional friendly service, the food is served quickly. The Tandoori dishes, especially the meats, are exceptional - succulent, high quality, and tender. The Biryanis were decent but not outstanding. The Butter Chicken was creamy and the Naan bread was satisfactory. The bill for 6 people and 2 bottles of wine came out to be $50 each, which is still considered somewhat expensive in Singapore.
There are few authentic Northern Indian restaurants in Singapore, with many offering mainly Southern Indian cuisine and only a small selection of Northern dishes on their menus. Zaffron Kitchen stands out as a truly special find, with delicious food, beautiful presentation, and friendly service. Their tikka is a must-try, as the tender and well-spiced chicken will have you hooked from the first bite. The lamb shank biryani and chicken dum biryani are also incredibly tempting options. Of course, you can never go wrong with the classic butter chicken or other curry dishes paired with naan bread. Treat yourself and your friends to a meal at Zaffron Kitchen for a truly memorable dining experience.
The food at Zaffron Kitchen was delicious and the portions were generous, though slightly pricey. It was definitely worth it, and the service was excellent. Our waiter, Hari Om, was very kind and pleasant. I would definitely return and recommend it to others.
My husband and I love a good butter chicken with naan. After being in Asia for two weeks, we were craving some Indian food, so on our last night in Singapore, we decided to try Zaffron Kitchen. Located on East Coast Road, just across the street from our hotel, Zaffron is a Michelin bib gourmand restaurant. We were promptly seated without a reservation and ordered the butter chicken with rice and garlic naan to satisfy our cravings. I also added a passion fruit lassi to my order. The food took a bit longer than expected to come out, but once it did, we devoured the delicious meal. The lassi was refreshing and helped cool my palate. We brought our own water to avoid the additional charge. Overall, the service was decent. If you're a fan of Northern Indian cuisine, Zaffron Kitchen is definitely worth a try.
I have visited this restaurant many times, especially when I am in the mood for Indian cuisine. Normally, I would have given it 4 stars, but today we were disappointed to find out that they do not offer free water. This is not acceptable for a chicken tikka restaurant. Despite this, we enjoyed our usual meal of chicken tikka, garlic naan, mutton curry, two types of rice, and mixed vegetable curry. We ended our meal with teh tarik and left happy. The staff is always understaffed, so patience is necessary. Table clearing is slow and it takes 15 minutes to get tea after the meal. On November 20th, 2016, we returned for another Indian meal. Unfortunately, this time not only was the service staff disorganized, but the kitchen was as well. After placing our order at 7:40pm, there were at least 4 tables waiting for their food. One table with a party of 8 even walked out. The management needs to improve their operations before it affects their business. On February 2nd, 2019, we returned again and the restaurant did not disappoint, as usual.
