Rudy Navarette's Tex-mex - Sioux Falls

This place is a hidden jewel! Looks small, but it's really huge. Very clean, lots of space. The owner Rudy and his staff are fantastic. He was very helpful to explain the menu and give suggestions. The food though - the best Tex sex we've ever had. No joke! It came fast and as we ordered it. We will definitely return. Thank you to everyone who served us. (Side Note: neither I nor my cuff work there or are connected to the staff. We really had a great experience. This is a 5-star rating that you can trust.

The service was incredibly slow. We ordered right away, but it took over 25 minutes for our cheese dip to arrive. When it finally came, it was tasteless and resembled tomato soup with melted cheese—not something I would order again. We waited 45 minutes, and our main courses still hadn't arrived. We even asked the staff to expedite our order because we had an appointment. The tacos were bland, and some of the pieces of chicken were so large that they needed to be cut before eating. I won't be returning and would advise others to save their time.

When you sit down, Rudy personally walks you through the menu, which is a nice touch. I ordered the Pork Burrito with Chili Gravy, and it was fantastic. The Chili Gravy is definitely a must-try! The pork was flavorful and moist. The hot sauce on the table tasted homemade, with a pleasant roasted chili flavor and just the right amount of heat. The chips, salsa, and service were decent, but not exceptional.

Excellent! The tamales were fantastic, and the special chili sauce was a wonderful touch. One of my main concerns with Mexican restaurants is that the food often tends to be very dry, and they skimp on the salsas needed to keep the dishes moist. However, this is the only Tex-Mex restaurant in town where the food doesn't come across as dry at all.

I found it to have VERY good food and GREAT costumer service. Rudy the owner came and gave us a rundown of the menu. Was very helpful and gave some good advice for us, as it was our first visit there. Had the Rudy Special, with pork, and I am very happy to say I found it to be wonderful. Wife had the Special also with beef, gravy on the side, and was happy with hers. We had no problem with the order for the small changes. Left very full and not not overwhelmed with the price. 2 drinks, 2 appetizers, and 2 Rudy's just over 30. Will be back for sure. The only thing I have for a complaint is a little bit tricky to get to.
