Zorba's Tavern - Sitia

We visited Sea Fruit Risotto with 4 persons and mixed grill meat. Everyone enjoyed the meal all was really great.

Lovely place to stop by and have a good selection of local vegetable dishes. Clear description of vegetarian options and option to talk directly to the cook is highly appreciated. Tasty local dishes and lovely view make pleasant experience.

Visited 2 days after Cretan storms wrecked much of Sitia centre. The floods missed this restaurant which was one of a few open on the harbour front. Typical warm Cretan welcome, with wide range of Greek dishes to choose from. Large portions at reasonable prices despite harbour side site. If you can find somewhere to park at the moment, as largest free carpark devastated by floods this place is well worth a visit.

Great restaurant with delicious food and a fantastic spot on the harbour of Sitia. Very friendly staff, would recommend to go there and enjoy it

Table wine was very poor (considering how good the wine in the region is . Waitress irratic, did not seem interested in the customer experience, and did not alert me that the fish came with rice and salad. I also ordered chips and Greek salad on the side . For one person. Ended up with a lot of (very average tasting food. All three came at very diff times so did not enjoy the fish with the side dishes I had ordered . Even the tomatoes were really bland. Swordfish overcooked and did not smell fresh. Considering we are in Crete with an abundance of delicious flavours, the food was very disappointing. Tourist trap. I’m sure the locals will be eating much more flavoursome food than what is available here .
