Bidra med feedbackIt 's kind of hit and miss. On certain nights (Fri, Sat, Sun mainly) food is not at its usual delicious standard and the packaging can get a little messy, which could be down to the fact it is such a busy and popular little take away but on other nights when all is good, while eating I found myself saying that 's why this is the best Chinese takeaway in town ... Have a gamble, its worth it..
Honestly the food was horrible, conjealed sauce , smelled strange for what I ordered and very bland taste, only managed 2 mouthfuls, have to order something else, avoid if you can
The food at this restaurant is always amazing, with large portions and incredible flavors. Even though the area is expensive to live in, the prices here are still fair.
The food at this restaurant was overly salty, overly thickened with gelatin, and excessively oily. I ended up discarding half of my meal because it was so unpalatable. The fried rice was essentially just plain rice with a few pieces of egg, and the duck dish had very few vegetables. They only accepted cash and provided handwritten receipts without any VAT details. The spring rolls were too salty to eat and were immediately discarded. Overall, this was the most disappointing Chinese food experience I have ever had.
I have always enjoyed the food at Ho Wong, as it is consistently good quality. However, I recently called to inquire about delivery to Coolaney and was quoted €6 for delivery. I decided not to order at that time. This week, I was told it would be €18 for delivery to Coolaney, which I found to be outrageous. The distance to Coolaney is only 1km more than Tubbercurry, where Jewel in the Crown delivers for €7. Ho Wong's delivery driver is losing them business by charging such high prices for deliveries outside of town.
