Aroma Bistro - Smithville

Young girl waited on us. Slow and inattentive. We could see our order was up and took 15 mins to be served. Then they noticed one order was wrong. Ordered the right order then while the rest of us ate. 20 min later they bring it out. The wrong meal sat for 35 min or longer and given to the table behind us. Poor service and good food means we won't be back. What a shame, this place was 1st class. Now, not so much.

This was our 1st visit it took 15 minutes to be seated even though we had reservations at 6:30. Another 15 minutes waiting for the waitress to bring menus and water to our table. My husband and I ordered the pasta carbonera. When it came to the table, it looked more like fettuccine Alfredo. The chicken was overcooked and dry. The pasta was more like a homemade noodle. Why would you put diced tomatoes and onion on this. It was not what we expected as to what the menu explained.

I went in today for brunch. Service was amazing. I got the shrimp macaroni and it’s now 2 hours later and I am stuck hurling and in pain. I called to let the staff know so hopefully no one else would get sick. They seems not too concerned. Hopefully this can get sorted! That’s my fav dish and would love to come back to visit again!!!

Honestly I was very excited to go here because it seems like they had a lot of authentic food here.However they were either short staffed or something. We were given water not attended to for another 30 minutes asked for drinks and ordered food.After an hour of waiting we finally received our food which was COLD.They did make it right take off the cold food. But i left hungry w/ belly full if mimosa because I couldn't eat the cold steak chilaquiles I ordered.I would want to give it another try because i do think they have good food from what I've heard. Just an underwhelming 1st experience. . Maybe ask for the female server instead next time.

Ate here on a Friday night. Arrived at 5:30 and had no problem getting table but it was filling up by the time we left. Loved the pineapple margarita that by itself made this meal worth it. The queso fundido chips were excellent too. We had the chicken alfredo chicken salad. Strawberry cake was a highlight too. Good service. We will be back.
