Bidra med feedbackWhen I walked into the restaurant, I felt underwhelmed. I was let down to discover that the "fresh chips" advertised on the menu were not actually fresh. The battered cod also appeared to not be freshly prepared. My wife's medium rib eye steak was cooked well done. I usually try to refrain from writing negative reviews, but failing to serve something as simple as fresh chips is unacceptable. In general, our dining experience was mediocre at best.
The restaurant had delicious food, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere. We enjoyed our meals on two separate occasions and felt very comfortable. Thank you for two wonderful evenings.
The small and charming restaurant is operated by a warm and welcoming owner and his daughter. I have dined there several times and the food is always delicious, satisfying, and affordably priced. It is definitely a standout choice among the other restaurants in the area.
We were lucky to find a room at this restaurant at the last minute, which we really appreciated. The twin room with en suite was comfortable. We also enjoyed a delicious chowder for lunch, making this restaurant a great spot in the village.
We stopped in for an afternoon snack and were so glad we did. The seafood chowder was one of the best we’ve ever had and the vegetable soup hit the spot as well on a day that was chilly and rainy. The soda bread was the very best we had during all of our travels through Ireland! We are back home now, trying different recipes in hopes of recreating these wonderful dishes.
