Eating was very good, the service excellent! the elchtare was a highlight
The food was excellent and the wine we had was very good. our waiter was flat in ton with us and never offered to pour our wein the rest of the night when we had the original taste test at the beginning. except that everything was amazing.
The night began with an inexperienced front of the house with the greeting and sitting staff. they were young, happy and inexperienced. we have changed our reservation to 30 minutes later, since we had met the traffic of seattle. we are there at the original reservation, although the table we finally sat there was available all the time, they only saw us 10 minutes after our new reservation. (expect 40 minutes) we ordered the wagyu sirloin with fully loaded back potatoes and roasted ingots. first the steak meat did not taste like wagyu. there was hardly any marriage, caramelization or taste. the steak was burned/charred on the outside, the stupid-glaze that was smeared on it did not help, and the steak was not seasoned at all. I had to put salt/peffer on every cut of the steak. the baked potato should be fully loaded. it was a big kartoffel, but it came on the table super dry on the inside. there was hardly any butter, sour cream or speck, nor there were any spices on the cache. I had fried gloriously, and delicious, brussel sprouts before. that wasn't it. the Brussel shoots were greasy and fried, with little to no caramelization or taste. I forgot to mention our waiter. he was super embarrassing. sitting down within 10 seconds, he tried to get us to choose drinks from the bar. we wanted more time, he came back 30 seconds later. my partner didn't know what he wanted and asked for more time, the waiter just stood there and waited. my partner took 5 minutes extra because it was super weird. he just stared there! What the ****? every time I come back to this place, there's a new staff, and something else is wrong with it. I spent $200 on a meal that I would have paid $100 less and felt more satisfied by placing to others in the opposite as with salish around the corner. really disappointed by the staff and eating.
We were there for dinner on a busy Saturday night. Husband got Prime Rib, and I had the Salmon special. Both were very good. Service was good and friendly. The décor of the place is unique and interesting. It is a bit noisy but not too bad. We live in the area and had not been there in maybe 5 years due to poor previous experiences so we were pleasantly surprised this visit that the service, food and overall value was much better.
