The restaurant of the chef Sevda Dimitrova is the true definition of a hidden gem restaurant in Sofia. Far from the hectic of the center, when you enter Ahora, you are immediately fascinated by the local but elegant interior and the quiet music that plays on the background. The food is very modern and unique and every dish tells a story. The menu is mostly seasonal, so likely you're able to eat what I did, but I strongly recommend you try one of the zero-waste dishes to see how each part of a product can be manipulated and added to the dish for some amazing results. Flavor-wise some of the dishes might have been better, but overall it is a real fine culinary experience to remember. Note that parking can be a problem.

Favourite place for a cozy and delicious lunch. Have been a guest of the restaurant a couple of times. I absolutely love the food (best brunch menu in town). One of the places where you eat not because you’re hungry, but because you want to experience food. Service is excellent always polite and they make you feel comfortable. I recommend with two hands.

The best meal we had in Sofia! Some dishes were better than others but it was a very positive experience overall.. The dishes we loved were: white asparagus with white chocolate sauce, truffle and parmesan..amazing dish. The duck and tortellini in blueberries and beetroot..was perfectly cooked! Service was very good, we enjoyed a nice bottle of local wine. Totally recommended.
