Checkpoint Charly - Sofia

One of my favorite restaurants in Sofia. The food is excellent. Could be hard to park.

Does not seem like a locals place for lunch as it appears upscale for a casual lunch. We found a delightful tasting moussaka to eat for a good price!

We walked by the restaurant and really liked the outside area of the restaurant. It has a nice atmosphere. So we gave it a try and it was as good as it looks on the picture. Everything was fresh and tasty. We wanted to order a wine and got a better recommendation of the waiter. Lucky, because the rose wine was just perfectly fitting to the food. Thanks for that ! Also lucky was, that the fish was on the lunch menu. The fish was amazing and the Salat was good and fresh. Service was friendly and fast. Price was totally fair due to the lunch offer. 4,5 stars due to the salad.

One of the best food I have EVER had anywhere! Great service and atmosphere in the restaurant as well. If I could, I would’ve given it 10+ stars. Ever feel like spoiling yourself after watching a play in any of the nearby theatres, I recommend heading to this place!

Great music, decoration and food. I also liked the fact they had a notebook where I could draw a duck.
