Franco's Pizza - Sofia

When Franco’s Pizza opened its first restaurant, a business daily dubbed it “Sofia’s favourite pizza”. Five years later, the quality of food and the level of service stay absolutely the same. It still is the Sofianites’ best-loved pizza place. The latest Franco’s near the National Palace of Culture has a cozy atmosphere and is less crowded. On a lazy Saturday, we had a healthy salad, a Margarita, and a Tiramisu – all with top quality ingredients, at a reasonable price, and served with a sincere smile. Yummy!

What…is this? A pizza with no tomato sauce? It’s not even one with white sauce. Crust was good, which means it’s a good dough, and they have a full on pizza oven but a Fungi pizza has tomato sauce. It’s pretty basic.

The pizza is one of the best in Sofia. This particular restaurant is too small and the tables are packed so close to each other that you cannot have a decent conversation. The staff is kind of grumpy sometimes, they seem tense and tired. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. It is a good place for take away.

Small but cozy pizza place right off of Vitosha Boulevard. Food is great and menu is short and to the point mostly pizza but there are a couple of salads and desserts as well. Staff is friendly and service is fast! 1 star for not accepting card payments. They really need to have the option at such a prime location. Cheers!

Staff was totally not happy when I walked in as they were all sitting there on their phones. Felt totally unwelcome. Restaurant was completely empty and I could not sit where I want? Because those are the rules the waiter said… Only cash, no wifi… Pizza was good, dough is good, ingredients were also tasty. I can tell the cheese is lower quality as it is lacking flavor. I have noticed they have more locations.. unfortunately most places when they expand the quality goes down…that’s what it feels like here.. staff needs to be more welcoming… they pack all customers next to each other instead of spreading them apart… all customers angry… i mean how stupid can you be? I wish I would have had a better experience.. will try a different location next time
