On our travel back home we were in the mood for some ice cream, my wife used Yelp to find the nearest ice cream shop to us. She was not able to find anything on Yelp near us but that's not uncommon as places that are way out of the city that also have poor cellular connection aren't usually listed on Yelp. She used google to find this place. We were having a difficult time using our cell phones so we waited until we got home to add this to yelp, upload pics and write a review. It's not on the main road, but seems more like its in an old house located in a neighborhood. The staff was friendly and helped us with our order, the food was prepared quickly and we enjoyed our snack. We had only planned on getting some ice cream but ended up getting some food as well. We ordered the Velvet ice cream Buckeye Classic and a Coney dog loaded with sauce cheese and onions. There are only tables outside to sit at but it was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the nice sun while eating our snacks. The prices were very reasonable and if we were to ever go through this town again I would stop again.
Wow, what a hidden gem! A local friend recommended Gracie's to us, and we’re so glad she did because it’s hands down the best burger, chicken, and ice cream spot I've ever visited! It’s outdoor seating only, so be prepared for that. While there isn't much shade, there is plenty of space. The food is incredible! I had a grilled chicken sandwich, while my husband and daughter both enjoyed burgers, and we all shared an order of fries. We also got drinks. Everything was made fresh and tasted fantastic, and it only cost us $22! We will definitely return whenever we're in Somerset!
The food is tasty and fairly priced, and the staff are professional and polite. I would give it a perfect 5 out of 5 for excellence!
I heard about this place from a friend and decided to take a Sunday drive to Gracie's. I ordered a small chocolate ice cream and a banana split. The ice cream was soft serve, though they also offer hand-dipped varieties. It had a wonderful flavor, but the texture was slightly grainy. The banana split looked incredible, made with fresh, ripe bananas and topped with pineapple and strawberry; nuts and cherries were optional. The prices are reasonable for the generous portions. The small cone was larger than what I've had at other places. They also serve savory food, but I didn't try any during this visit. I plan to return soon, as I believe they're only open seasonally.
