Wings Over

This is definitely the best spot for wings. All their sauces are fantastic, the chicken is incredibly tender, and the ranch dressing is out of this world! Those are really the three essential elements of great chicken wings. I guess they are a bit on the pricey side, but wings usually are. Treat yourself! Food: 5/5

The service was fantastic. Our server took the time to explain several of the sauces when we asked and was very patient since it was our first visit. We ordered four different sauces along with some tenders and wings, and everything was superb!

Excellent pick-up location for catering large events (aircraft carrier, yes!). It's not a dine-in restaurant, but the wings and sides are absolutely delicious. Food: 5/5.

This has to be the least consistent food business in Somerville. Through years of ordering from this place, I've seen: entire orders of wings unsauced orders of wings where somehow half or a third of the wings are unsauced ?? wings overcooked so badly that it's like biting into a cracker instead of chicken missing ranch/blue cheese which they always charge you for. this is a wings place that doesn't include even one thing of ranch with your order Somehow they still exist as a business, so clearly it's working for *someone*. Just not for anyone who has the misfortune of ordering from Wings Over and hoping to get food in exchange for their money.

If you were expecting to get chicken wings from a place called Wings over Somerville you 're in for a surprise. Most restaurants use the term wings with poetic license and an order includes a mix of cheap chicken drums with actual chicken wings, usually diluting the wings in 50-50 proportion, more or less. We 've all come to accept this, rip off that it is. Wings over Somerville takes that gambit to whole new level: 100% cheap chicken drums, no delicious chicken wings at all. The thick layer of salt didn 't help. Change the name to Salty as F Drums over Somerville and I 'd be cool with it. When we complained about it we were told we were being too literal, that drums are wings. Sign of the Times. Freedom is Slavery, etc. You can 't avoid the Times but you can steer clear of this place.
