Hara Sushi - Sooke

My partner and I visited this restaurant for lunch. He is very selective with his food choices, but I assured him it was worth trying! We ordered the bentoboxes - I had the chicken and he had the beef. We both enjoyed the small salad and miso soup before diving into the main dish. We opted for the Bento box with Tempura shrimp and vegetables, Teriyaki meat, salad, and California Roll sushi - it was delicious! The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays, but the food is definitely worth the visit. There is plenty of parking at Village Foods, and you can also purchase dessert from Village's bakery.

I was there three times to take the dinner and for the last time I found my combo with ice cream? Nobody offered me an ice cream, even I waited 20 minutes for my meal? When I finally asked for ice... the cook refused to serve me? I understand you can't go because it could melt, but I could eat inside while I wait 20 minutes for my food? The cook refused to serve so that I don't give them any tips and sent message to this cook I won't be back. Soo greedy shops

This restaurant is a hidden gem that is worth traveling from Victoria to Sooke to dine at. Despite its small size, the quality of the menu items is outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant without any hesitation.

I am unsure why this restaurant has anything less than perfect reviews. It is our go-to spot in Sooke and truly serves some of the best Japanese cuisine on the island. I particularly enjoyed the daily special rolls, while my husband prefers the more traditional Japanese dishes. Everything always tastes delicious and the staff is both friendly and efficient. We always have a fantastic meal whenever we dine here.

Hiked in East Sooke regional park and needed something more than fast food to fill us up so off to get sushi! Absolutely stuffed myself after eating here and it was awesome! Good prices, great friendly service and a convenient location in town! Will definitely...head to this place next time we are in town! Fyi we did take out as per covid fun times!
