Panetteria-pizzeria Franco - SORRENTO

Decent pizzeria, however not as good as others down the road. The pizza was nice but I was given no indication that there would not be a tomato base. Considering the cheese base, I was hoping for a few more toppings, especially given the price I paid. Moreover, the dough was quite dense and chewy it was nonetheless very tasty. The wine was very nice and paired well with the pizza. Prices ok for the area. Good service, and a nice setting/interior. Heads up, no proper knife and fork cutting of pizza here.

We ordered two 6 euro pizza sandwiches and were given a massive plate of raw Parma ham and large blocks of mozzarella, charged forty euro. Staff knew what they were doing, taken advantage of tourists to get more money. We left food behind, weren’t given refund when we asked and explained.

Rather commercial, pizza was OK. Nothing to think over for the following two days. I had the margharita with artichokes which were over-boiled, they should have at least a little crunch. Sauce was moderate in every way. I also had a canolli which was below average.

Ate here on a Weekday for dinner. The venue looked to be very family friendly. It felt like I was in a fast food restaurant not an authentic Italian venue. Apart from that the pizza was nice and it was a very relaxed venue. I would like to highlight it is good for travellers and families with young children as it was price well and there was GPO's at each table to charge your phone etc
