Steak Escape - South Charleston

Overall, I had a pleasant experience during my first visit to this restaurant. The French fries were excellent—hot and fresh. I ordered a Philly steak with just meat and three cheeses, but it came with green peppers and onions. I sent it back, and the manager promptly apologized and provided me with a hot and fresh sandwich in no time. The staff was friendly too.

The manager was upset when I inquired about the status of our food after waiting for two hours. I had placed an online order for 7:30, but they prepared the food at 5:30 instead. While the food itself was good, the service left a lot to be desired.

My favorite U place here in Charleston. Beautiful and fresh, and they are always ready to adapt your order in a friendly way. Oh! And be careful! These pommes are addicted!!

I ate here on Friday, March 25, 2022. There was one woman and 3 young men behind the counter. I have never heard such bickering and back talk among employees with customers right there while they are fixing the food. They fixed my sandwich wrong which was no surprise considering how they were carrying on, but they did re-do it. But the worst part of this visit was the restrooms. I don?t know if Steak Escape or One Stop is responsible for the maintenance of the restrooms, but,,,,,, if these have been cleaned in a year or two, I?d be surprised. Had I gone to the restroom before I ate, I would not have eaten there!!! I took pictures and will post if possible.

The Korean BBQ bowl is amazing! Hard to believe it's under 400 calories! The kids request their nuggets over Wendy's or McDonald's and they said the fries were delicious.
