Sumthin' Good Soul Food

I usually don't leave reviews, but Oh My Goodness, I just had the best food I had for a long time. The food was amazing!!! I haven't eaten this good since Sunday dinner! We had the roasted chicken, catfish, roasted green tomatoes, baked beans, roasted greens, yams and peach-cobblers. And the grain bread! Well worth the price and everyone was very friendly! Thanks for opening and feeding people delicious, fresh, real food you can really say was made with love!

My husband and I were looking for a place to eat after work on Friday, and we were thrilled to find that this restaurant has extended hours. It was Friday fish roast night, and the whiting was the best I've ever had. The baked beans were fantastic, and the roasted green tomatoes were absolutely the best I've ever tasted; I'm still thinking about them this morning. As another reviewer mentioned, you can truly feel the love and pride that goes into the food they prepare. Let's support this place—whether you choose to dine in or take out. We need to help keep this hidden gem in South Charleston!

The barbecue pig is the best I ever had, and the peach kicker is amazing from this world! Great food, great staff, good price. Thanks for a wonderful meal!

If you haven't tried this restaurant yet, I highly recommend it. It's definitely worth it!

I had the shrimp and grits, and it was incredible. The shrimp was so tender that it practically melted in my mouth. As much as I enjoyed the shrimp, the baked beans were likely the best I've ever tasted. I will definitely be coming back!
