Stonecross Manor - South Lakeland

Very unwelcoming when I asked if a non-resident could have breakfast. Said yes, then not sure. Hostile in tone and appeared to be frightened of asking the manager. Is my money not good enough?

We needed somewhere to stopover to break a long journey north to south. Stumbled across Stonecross in the app and we are really pleased with the choice. They had adjoining rooms which is our preference as a family of four so we all get some privacy and sleep. The rooms we are a nice size and the hotel has been recently been refurbished. It’s in a great location with several highly rated restaurants in easy walking distance. It also has a good restaurant within the hotel. Plenty of parking (around the back and out of sight) and a pool finish off a great specification. The best bit is the price. It was very good value for money in comparison to other options in the area. We will definitely use this hotel again. Easy access from the M6!

I stayed here for a few nights but only ate in the restaurant once.

Staying at the hotel we decided to eat in their restaurant. We are so pleased that we did. The restaurant has been newly refurbished and looks great. The quality presentation of the food was excellent, as well as the service.

The restaurant was very nice with first class service in the evening and at breakfast. Lovely surroundings and spotlessly clean.
