The At Storrs Hall - South Lakeland

We were delighted to end our last day in the lakes with afternoon tea at Storrs. As soon as we walked into the hotel, we were greeted by friendly and smiling staff. The sunny weather made our experience even better as we enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea overlooking the garden area. Everything was perfect and we couldn't find fault with anything. It was truly lovely and we will definitely be returning for dinner next time.

We booked dinner to celebrate our friends anniversary and were not disappointed . The three course dinner was excellent. The food was beautifully presented, expertly cooked and delicious. The cheese platter was thoughtfully put together with tasting notes and with the mildest cheese first and the strongest last so as not to distort the palate. Sarah the front of house manager was friendly , professional and extremely knowledgeable. She knew her products and was able to recommend beer based on our husbands tastes and was happy to explain how the delicious whipped butter is made which is served with the bread rolls. All the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. We were lucky enough to be able to moor up on the hotels jetty and were able to enjoy breakfast in the hotel to celebrate our friends birthday the following day. Again the food was excellent and everyone went out of their way to make our friends birthday special. Thank you Andy (General Manager) and Sarah,looking forward to returning soon.

Stayed one night and dinner was included. We enjoyed the friendly, professional service and ambience plus excellent food and drinks. Nice dining room with candles lit, great music and smart décor.

We ve always loved Storrs Hall but were very disappointed with our Sunday lunch gift voucher..... no Sunday roast available..... £17 Caesar salad starter on a chipped plate....vinegar held together with sellotape, no jazz piano man anymore, we were the only ones dining.... coffee weak and flavour less..... tea worse....what a shame....

We popped in to Storrs for a Christmas drink and was hoping to be greeted by a roaring log fire instead got cheesy music playing, too loudly and candles in the fireplace. What a let down, went elsewhere instead. If you cannot light a fire on Christmas Eve when can you light it.
