Bidra med feedbackLoved this place. It seems to be called “Flint Cafe” now, so perhaps it’s under new management. Pleasant staff, dog friendly, good home-produced pasties and cakes, impressive building, clean and tidy… what’s not to love? Alright, staying at the campsite means we were a captive audience but I wouldn’t need to walk anywhere else for my breakfast or morning coffee. Just what’s needed.
Its a really good place to walk beside the river and the cafe is located at a car park to a useful end to a good walk. It also has an information centre. The cafe is a cafe with food and drinks to choose from and meets the term average cafe. It does have outside seating for good weather and the staff were fine.
Located on the large Whitlingham Lake, this is a great place to have a cup of tea and snack before or after starting a walk. Good parking and convenient for disabled or elderly.
Just an average cafe in an excellent location. Nothing special, but in the right place to catch visitors to the lake.
We had a pleasant stop here for teas and ice creams on a round walk of the lake. The young serving staff seemed rather harried although it wasn't very busy and I prefer a better tasting brew, otherwise it was fine.
