Dirty Al's - South Padre Island

One significant issue I encountered was with the bus service. The staff hovered around our table, making us feel uncomfortable. They cleaned our table without giving us a chance to leave, and one of the ladies even snatched the basket from my wife. If it hadn't been for another staff member correcting her, I would have said something. The service definitely needs improvement, as the staff didn't come across as very welcoming. Overall, while the food is good, I will not be returning. Good food alone cannot make up for rude behavior!

I had to make a stop at Dirty Al's for some seafood, and I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. We sat outside near the boats, which was lovely. The food was excellent; we ordered the New Orleans boiled shrimp and blackened fish tacos, and paired it with a couple of beers. It was a fantastic dinner! I highly recommend dining here, and I'm already looking forward to trying more dishes on my next visit. The staff was very friendly and provided great service. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Overall, it was an enjoyable visit. The food was delicious, and our waitress was fantastic. My only issue was with the billing system. My friend and I went in with our families, making a party of six, and we were each charged an extra $11 for being part of a large group, even though we had separate checks. I didn't realize this until after I had paid. It was a great experience overall, but be sure to check your bill before finalizing your payment.

Food was good. Service was great. Where we are disappointed was the amount of food from a ?large? to a ?medium? was minimal. Several of us ordered medium dishes and one ordered a large. There was almost no difference between the two, yet a difference inprice. Medium fish and shrimp dish had 3 fish 4 shrimp. The large Fish, Oyster, Shrimp had the same amount of fish and shrimpand a few oysters added. Next complaint was our drinks ?Painkillers? which is why we come!! The drinks were served in smalldisposable cups not the larger reusable ones we have come to know. But also was missing the sugary coconut rim!! We inquiredwhy this was different? And were told they were out of coconut. Bummer! Not sure we will keep Al?s in our tradition of SPIadventures after this visit.

The food was very good! I had the fish basket and my kids had the burgers. The crab cake is meh, I wouldn't recommend, not $8 for one. One of the burgers was under cooked, the manager was very polite and apologetic! The bathrooms were a bit dirty! One major issue I had was the bus service. If it wasent for the other lady with her correcting her I would have. The service needs work, Staff isn't very inviting!! All in all the food is good however I WILL NOT RETURN! Good food isn't enough to excuse rude behavior!
