The Barkley Restaurant Bar

I hadn’t been to this restaurant in 20 years, and my recent visit left a sour impression. While I was at the bar, I spoke with a gentleman who had just come from a senior citizens center where he played music for the elderly. He played the piano and remembered that the restaurant had one. He kindly asked the manager if he could play it, but unfortunately, the manager, who resembled Eddie Munster, was very rude. He mistakenly thought the man was trying to get a job in exchange for drinks. Without cause, the manager ended up kicking him out. I was appalled by the treatment this gentleman received. I won't be going back to this restaurant, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

There isn't a food menu, but the atmosphere and the people make up for it. Everyone feels like a friend, and the music is fantastic!

I really enjoy this restaurant. I haven't tried the food yet, so I can't speak to that, but I can confidently say that the service is relaxed and casual while still being professional. The ambiance is stylish for a bar and grill that stays open late. There are comfortable booths, a dance floor, a section for live bands, and a bar. The layout keeps you nicely insulated from the hustle and bustle of the busy street outside. As for kid-friendliness, I wouldn't consider it suitable for children, but that may be because I've only visited in the later evening when kids should be in bed.

Fantastic; wish they took cash, and I'm sure I am not the only one that shares this opinion.

Didn’t have food but cocktails were strong! Bartender was great. It was a slow night. Seemed lots of locals there.
