Bidra med feedbackLook, I don 't Gove reviews often. It takes an exceptional team or business to get me to leave some love, because in my mind (being in hospitality for 17 years) great service, great food, and a great experience should be the standard. And to be fair, I 'm not leaving this review as a customer or client, but as a fellow professional. We partnered with HB on an event this past Friday. It was a tough one to say the least. Lots of moving parts, and a VERY thirsty crowd. My company handled the bar needs, but Justin 's company (HB) handled the additional help as well as food service. They did a stellar job. Our crowd was entirely thirsty the duration of the night, which meant his staff was collecting, sanitizing and restocking our bar CONSISTENTLY. We had an eye-catching champagne dress that require constant refills and we had a dedicated server to accommodate that. We also had an issue with the venue manger (specs that were never relayed) and Justin 's team helped us remedy it quickly. It takes a village to raise a child, and it takes a team to execute an event flawlessly. Bride and Groom were beside themselves, pleased...and we were incredibly grateful for the constant communication day-of and the willingness from EVERYONE to ensure things went as smoothly as possible. It also doesn 't hurt they served the best roast I 've ever tasted in my life (sorry mom). We appreciate you guys, sincerely. It was a grueling set up, a busy night, and a tedious clean up, and yet, with the collaborative efforts it went without a hitch. THANK YOU!
Bad experience. The food tasted fine the FIRST time, but it got half of my wedding guests food poisoning. The trouble didn't start there, however. They were extremely difficult to communicate with. They never responded to emails or called back prior to the wedding. I had to repeatedly call in order to get ahold of someone, even within a few weeks of my wedding. I needed to confirm payment and that they were set on instructions... don't you think that's important when you're paying someone $10k to cater a once-in-a-lifetime event?!? When it came to the wedding day, they saved the top of the wedding cake (as per common tradition), but they nonchalantly put it in a box for trash and it got smashed. When I brought these issues up to Mike, he didn't care. Not even a sorry for me and my new wife spending the first day of marriage throwing up... not to mention the countless other guests who had the same problem. Everyone remembers our wedding as the one that got them sick... pretty great, eh? Even if it wasn't his fault, he should feel bad and say sorry at the very least, instead of being defensive. He offered no solution to the problem and didn't care in the slightest that he ruined our cake. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CATERER unless you want to taste your wedding food multiple times and deal with the stress of a non-communicative vendor.
Huntington Catering was a pleasure to work with at our October Los Angeles wedding. They were our bartenders and servers and did a great job of making sure all of our guests were well cared for. Vanessa and Justin were helpful and accommodating through all of the changes leading up to the day. I recommend them for your next event!
This place is horrible! I have called at at least 5 times left messages spoke with some w named Justin said he would call back.....still waiting. Have heard the do not treat employees well, why would they treat a potential customer well?? No thank you!!! Moved on to The Kitchen in Pasadena. Pls don 't waste your time with these losers at Huntington Catering.
This company catered my brothers wedding, and I am so deeply disappointed and embarrased by pretty much everything about it. Drink service was horrendous ! Water was not replenished in a timely manner, if at all. I had to interrupt the talking group of 3 servers (for a party of 120) to ask them to distribute water. Twice. It had been over 100 degrees that day and folks were left sitting with empty water glasses for over 30 minutes. Wine service was irregular and spotty. Portions were small ! My partner literally recieved 3 fingerling potatoes with his (vegetarian) meal. Bartender was visibly on his phone a number of times. And to top it all off The menu was incorrect ! Stuffed chicken breast was to be served.... but people recieved just plain, DRY, chicken breast. Ugh! I work in catering, and know how high the bar can be. This company fell so short of it.
