The Bistro - South San Francisco

Rating is totally about the pool, gross, wet hair, dirty jacuzzi just gross was looking forward to the jacuzzi all Night once we walked in it was like a giant steam room with children everywhere screaming bright lights just terrible no words really just very disappointed we were cat fished !! Pictures are very deceiving

Very clean and nice people working here. The bar/food area was good as well. Loved the location. They provide shuttle service to nearby restaurants.

Having lived and worked in the city of San Francisco, I used to consider South San Francisco, Brisbane and San Bruno area to be somewhat of a ghetto area because it's on the bay side as opposed to the ocean side. Well , it's been over 20 years since I've lived in the city and that might have something to do with it too but the improvement has been astonishing. High rise buildings whether hotels or corporations have been built , it's really cleaned up. Anyways going back to reviewing the hotel. It's on the shore of San Francisco Bay. You can open the gate and have access to the shoreline trail covered with flowers. Combination of flowers, the bay breeze and the sea water wakes me up in the morning. Breakfast is not your typical continental breakfast. You get to order one item off Starbucks menu but they are different. I got the smoked salmon bagels . Very stylish. You know you are in the city when you see lox bagel on the wooden cutting board. It's a treat when you get a free parking in San Francisco. Parking is absolutely a nightmare in the city. So to sum it up. Can't go wrong with free parking, lox bagel for breakfast, hotel by the shore. Close to SFO but you don't hear any noise from the airport. Love the city vibe. Making me want to move back to the city. Despite arriving there late 10 pm), Eva who helped us check in was very nice and accommodating. We got a really nice king bed room on the ground level looking at the courtyard and view of the bay. We could even see the water. Room is very large with a sofa , king size bed , a fridge , a tv , very clean . Nice big shower head and typical San Francisco water pressure lol) with a bathtub. Dispenser shampoo, conditioner and soap. The only thing was there's no microwave in the room but I can live with that. Overall , I really like this hotel , location , cleanliness, comfortable bed and pillows, bathtub , size of the room , plenty parking space, good breakfast, friendly staff, access to the bay shore trail around the bay. Beautiful flowers around the bay and the view of the bay. Would stay here again .

This hotel is a bit on the older side with spacious rooms but can use some updates. The service is very friendly and they offer a free shuttle to the airport. With a 10 min drive to SFO it's convenient. Food was very good and silver Marriott members get 5% discount on food. It's small but something. Internet is free and I was delighted that they give you make up remover towelettes since I always forget to pack mine.

I actually don't rate hotels, But this one deserves an exception. We called last minute to get a room and the lady on the phone was extremely kind and helpful. Once we arrived we were pleased to see a very nice restaurant, Starbucks bar, and market. We went out on a limb and decided to eat dinner in the hotel restaurant. Typically we don't do this because hotel restaurants usually do not serve well. Again, this is an exception. Our server was extremely sweet. We ordered a plate of ribs and fries, rigatoni and sausage, and had an apple cobbler for dessert. It was soooooooo good. We will stay here again no problem. Our room was under $150 for the night.
