Coco's Bistro - South Sarasota

I am so happy I found this place! I am from Southeast Florida where we have many amazing Venezuelan restaurants. It can be hard finding good food in Sarasota. If you love Venezuelan food or want to try it, this is a hidden gem! My top favorites on the menu are the chicken and beef empanadas, beef pabellón traditional or on arepa. The food is top quality, homemade and fresh never greasy. The owners are very nice and keep everything very clean.

Average food. Great service. Nice layout and design of the restaurant. Won't wow you and you can get a better value for a date or event in other restaurants in Dayton. But you should try it and see what you think.

Cocos is an incredible restaurant in Dayton. It is truly the “it” spot in Dayton to see others and to be seen in the community and the food and the service is 5 star everything is the best start to finish!

We love Coco's Bistro. We had a business dinner there and everything was pretty good. We were a bit disappointed in the service being slow. It was not that busy but twice we had to get up and ask for our waiter. I feel like since the gratuity was automatically included with the larger party our waiter was not as attentive. Also, the music piping in over our table was loud. I asked if it could be turned down but it wasn't and it hindered conversation. The food and drinks were very good.

Amazing little bistro! Not the cheapest place around, but the quality of the food is definitely worth it. Everything was made from scratch and to order, from the condiments to the cheese. The staff is courteous and they clearly care about quality. We'll definitely be eating here regularly.
