Texas Rocks - South Somerset

I have visited this restaurant several times and have always had an exceptional experience. The staff is friendly and hardworking, and the food is consistently delicious. I especially recommend trying the roast on Sundays. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

This restaurant offers a fantastic selection of dishes for meat enthusiasts. We both ordered steaks, which were incredibly tasty, and the sides were also delicious. I highly recommend trying the cheesy garlic mushrooms. The desserts were outstanding as well! The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. It was clear that a lot of effort was put into ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

Last night, my husband and I finally visited Texas Rocks, a restaurant he had been eager to try. While the ambiance of the place was impressive, we were disappointed with the food. My 12oz steak was overly fatty, with only about 6oz of actual meat once I had removed the excess fat. Despite ordering my steak well done, it was cooked to the point of being almost burnt, as were our chips and onion rings. The Diane sauce had unexpected large mushrooms in it, which I had to carefully avoid due to my dislike of their texture. The sauce itself was overly salty, prompting me to scrape it off and resort to using ketchup on my steak. My husband's peppercorn sauce also did not meet our expectations. Overall, our experience at Texas Rocks was underwhelming, and we will be sticking to our preferred steakhouse, Miller and Carter, in the future.
