Bidra med feedbackThis pub was a whistle on the way to joules brewery. what a beautiful pub! excellent selection of real ales. moon madness was excellent, but I must recommend the captain pigwash: friendly staff and the old world ambiance just went on and on! I'll look around again and again when I'm in the opposite!
Visit family. so went to dinner on Sunday. the personal was excellent..very attentive and friendly. the food was good price and good in portions. the place was renovated in a cozy pub.
Great place with the best eating and in the fussy! and a great couple that marked it and rachel turned it into the place that should always be! P.s loouve the smiling monk!
Love the place, can not recommend very enough. beautiful service by friendly staff, brilliant eating and high quality genuine ales. many also entertain the whole week and a fantastic attitude towards the local community of the management team.
Had a small funeral wake there yesterday. Standard offering, beef, chicken, egg mayo, cheese, sausage rolls BUT these were packed full of filling and the freshest sandwiches since my mum used to make them. Nothing dry, curled, spot the chicken about these. Non standard were the pizza bites which were so good (along with the sausages) that I didn 't have chance to have one..... all demolished by 'the older generation ' and the celery..crisp clean. Service was brilliant, no 'debris ' left till the end, fresh supplies brought in. No, I don 't work there, I 'm not paid to write this, it was my first visit to this pub in 30 years, I 'm picky about food and food hygiene and it wasn 't my money I was spending. As with any other venue, I was wary.....I didn 't need to be. oh, and the chocolate brownies with strawberries and the mini cheesecakes went down a treat as well. Thank you The Crown Joules, Codsall
