White Dotte - Southampton

I understand why White Dotte is so popular on site. Excellent ice cream both soft and hard. Warning: Expect You have a massive cone when you order a medium! I can't imagine how I could even finish a big one, and I'm known for my appetite.

This place is a down home slice of American pie straight out of the 1940’s or 50’s. Serving classic comfort food in a charming rest stop setting right out of something you’d see in the movies, it’s clear why White Dotte has been feeding motorists and locals for decades. The staff is incredibly friendly and fast. I’ve had the fried chicken and waffles, smothered in delicious white country gravy. I’ve also tried their slow cooked, savory and sweet BBQ. Corn bread, baked beans, fried pickles, coleslaw and mac n cheese are all really delicious and taste like mom made them. This is great comfort food at a really good price. Try this place but bring cash, as they don’t take cards. The only bathroom is a port o pottie, so don’t be expecting fancy facilities or anything. This is a rest stop, with only a few booth tables. Think greasy spoon with really nice people and rockin classic American food.

The burger was good. Safe and quick delivery service to your car by waiting in the parking lot and calling the order in on your cell phone They have the menu and their phone number posted on the door.

Over the top friendly and service above and beyond! The young people I encountered working there have a lot to be proud of. Thank you and keep up the great work!

Best soft serve in the county at least. This place is a little gem from yesteryear. Have a stop by grab a cone its well worth the trip
