Rancho - Southampton

We decided to dine at Argento Steakhouse in Southampton before our cruise, as it was conveniently located near our hotel. While the interior lacked charm and the tables were somewhat sticky, the restaurant's open kitchen added to the atmosphere as steaks were cooked over a real fire. Our waitress seemed new but was friendly, and the service was excellent. The highlight of our experience was the delicious food, with tender and flavorful ribs, succulent beef tenderloin, and a top-notch avocado burger. The side dishes were also excellent, with the only downside being slightly sandy spinach, which indicated freshness. Overall, despite the sticky tables, we had a great evening with exceptional food and service, earning Argento Steakhouse a well-deserved 5-star rating in our book. We look forward to returning on our next visit to Southampton.

Would not eat there again, Ordered the crab starter and said no chilli, then had prawn paella which was chilli hot, !!!! I've never had chilli hot paella, the staff not once came over to ask how are meal was at all. The T.Bone steak was nice but over priced as it only comes with a tiny salad and that's it, we had to ask if there was another additional like chips etc, no that's it. They did give chips. But it very over priced. The Bar waitress was very nice and agreed about my paella. Won't go again.

We visited here in September, we had the prawns to start and rib eye steaks for our main. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The service wasn’t very efficient and we ended up getting our own drinks from the bar as we were sat in the corner but the bar man made up for the lack of service from the restaurant staff

Food was lovely and plentiful and a good choice of menu. Can work out quite expensive, but worth paying that extra for great food. Staff were very friendly and helpful too.

I randomly chose this restaurant from several in the High Street neighborhood. It wasn't busy, but the food was wonderful. It could have been the best steak I've ever had. The prices for both food and wine were reasonable.
