There aren't many options for Chinese food in this area, but we've always had a positive experience at East Garden. It's a friendly, family-owned restaurant with great prices. Their lunch specials are an incredible deal; you can enjoy a hot lunch with fried rice for less than the price of a dozen eggs. My only criticism is that they've changed their egg roll recipe. They are now smaller, with a mushy center, less flavor, and not as crunchy as the larger ones used to be. We'll be skipping the egg rolls from now on, but we definitely recommend everything else, especially the chicken with garlic sauce and the fried dumplings.

I usually dine at the Chinese restaurant across the street, but I decided to give East Garden a chance. Unfortunately, the chicken and cashews were the worst I've ever had. The chicken was heavily breaded, consisting of tiny, hard pieces that were practically inedible and did not match the positive ratings. What a letdown!
