American Classic Cafe - Spencer

I had a fantastic breakfast experience! I really enjoyed the delicious cookies, gravy, and hashbrowns. My husband loved his pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausage.

I ordered the country skillet and it was excellent. I also had rye toast, which is quite rare to find. Overall, it’s an affordable place to eat.

A quick note before diving into the main review: American Classics accepts credit cards, which is noteworthy since many restaurants in Spencer only take cash or checks. As the name suggests, American Classics is a traditional American diner. The service is prompt and welcoming, and the food is fantastic in classic American style. I visited for breakfast and may have had the best roasted chicken steak I’ve ever tasted. The bread was delightful, and the sausages were rich and flavorful. If you’re in the mood for a classic, hearty meal with plenty of small-town charm, American Classics is the place for you.

The food was wonderful! You have to try the fries! The service was really good.
