I Que Bbq - Spring Valley

We live for in Ocean Beach but were in La Mesa yesterday and decided to check this place out. WOW! That’s is by far the best bbq we have ever had in San Diego. From the juicy meat, the tasty collard greens and amazing Mac and cheese I would give them a 10 starts if I could. The service was also very very good. The owner was so friendly and making sure everyone was pleased with their meals and everyone working were so nice. We can’t wait to go back to this southern bbq place.

First time in; didn't know what to expect. Saw good reviews and had a hankerin' for some cooked cow. Ordered the brisket plate with slaw and beans. Food was delivered to my table quickly and first thing I did was burn my mouth on the beans : . I quickly grabbed a bite of slaw to kill the fire. I was happy that what was supposed to hot was hot and what was supposed to be cold was cold. The beans were good but not great; the slaw was also good but not special. The brisket, while very moist, was low on smoke and heavy on rubber. I've never been to Atlanta so maybe that's how they do brisket back there but it's not my fave. The meat seemed to be brined making the texture more like corned beef. The portion was huge! Restaurant and restroom was very clean. I may go back and try the pork...

This place more than exceeded my expectations! I have been looking for some amazing bbq for ever and im so glad i was referred this place. I got the chopped chicken and brisket with beans and macaroni. The meat was cooked to perfection. It wasn’t overly cooked. The sauce was amazing. And if I’m being honest, the beans were just regular, but the macaroni was really good. I am definitely going to be a repeat customer and it’s at a wonderful location.

It's really good! Came here on a recommendation and it was well worth it. The staff was very friendly and made sure everything was great. I had the mixed meets with chopped chicken and brisket. It was excellent. I will return and recommend this place.
