No. 3 Grill - Spruce Pine

We visited this restaurant as a family of four. Although the service was quite slow, we didn't mind since we weren't in a rush. Unfortunately, two of the four meals we ordered were quite disappointing and would earn a rating of 1 or 2. The other dishes and extras we had ranged from a 3 to a 4 in quality. If you're just looking for an appetizer and a drink, it might be a good choice. However, we found lunch to be a bit of a challenge, even though we tried to make the best of it.

Dinner was just okay. Good server. Food had some odd flavors and the fried Chicken dinner was small for $17. One tiny piece of chicken and 3 spoonfuls of mashed potatoes. Burger was presented well, but under cooked and had an odd seasoning, like powdered garlic.

The food is alright, but the fries have to be the worst cardboard tasting things I have ever had.

The food is excellent and innovative. The staff is fantastic, and as an unexpected bonus, there are wonderful views overlooking a picturesque golf course.

Wow! Who knew Spruce Pine NC had a diamond restaurant hidden in the golf course. Our dinners were very creatively made. Not simple food..really good food prepared to be enjoyed. The prices are so affordable too. Wait staff is bright, knowledgeable and they know their menu. Enjoy this delightful experience and the view!Kid-friendliness: Nice for kids too.
