Bidra med feedbackWent in for breakfast and won’t be coming back. I’ve never seen browner plates of food in my life. While the Benedict dishes on other folk’s tables looked decent, the waffles were burnt and the Monte Cristo was throughly forgettable. Service was fine, and dining area had a nice view of the town square.
Great pub full of locals in November. We got a great price at the Algonquin in the off-season and did not want to pay the $36 and up prices at the Braxton restaurant (Algonquin). We found this little gem on Google, and it did not disappoint! For Thursday, we took advantage of the steak special: an 8oz sirloin and fries for $15. Again, we were not okay with paying $36 minimum per person at the Braxton restaurant, so we decided to go back. We shared three apps: the Lobster Dip, the crab cakes, and Fish chowder. The Lobster dip was out of this world, the chowder was alright, I wouldn’t really recommend the Fish cakes; nothing wrong with them, they just didn’t have much flavor.
We stopped in after a whale cruise, and it was the best decision. Staff were super friendly and seated us immediately. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the beers on tap and recommended some for us to try based on our favorites. We ordered a fish and (poutine) chips along with a lobster roll. Portions were huge and very tasty. Poutine was done just right. Best fish and chips we've had since we were in England! Definitely worth the visit.
Oh my! We were here in September and what an amazing experience. I had the best fish and chips I have had anywhere the fish was so big, crispy yet flakey . The scallops were so sweet and tender and our waitress was the best. The live music added a real nice touch to the already amazing experience.
Loved the food and the service here! Great group of people. Inferno Fries were amazing! And the burger is awesome!
