Macarena Tapas St. Charles

The food is excellent, served on small plates that are perfect for sharing. The owners and staff were very attentive, and our group had a wonderful time.

Everything was quite good, except for the chorizo and cheese dish, which was so salty we couldn't eat it. However, the other dishes, including the crab cakes, were fantastic! The spicy chicken skewers were also delicious. While this location has a smaller menu compared to the Naperville location, it boasts a more beautiful atmosphere and a larger dining space. The grilled spa gel was a nice addition to our drinks. Overall, the service was excellent.

We were pleasantly surprised by how good this place was. It was nearly empty on a Friday night at 7, which seems almost unbelievable because the food and cocktails were truly delicious.

They stay away from here, they seem ready to close. we sat for 30 minutes on a beer and a manhattan that was really a cosmopolitan (huh? . the restaurant had only two more tables throughout our visit. the only server for the entire restaurant, which also tends bare and is perhaps the boss/owner, was just as lost what service means. did I mention that while he made the 30-minute drink, no other table ever received a service?

Great flavors, service was so so. I would go back and try it again, and will tell others. I hope they stick around
