The Green Room - ST. COLUMB

On a quick trip away to Cornwall to take care of wedding planning, we stayed at the Retallack Resort and Spa, home to The Green Room.

We were celebrating our 10th anniversary, and to our surprise, the waitress informed us at the end of our meal that the chef knew about our special occasion and wanted to prepare a complimentary dessert for us. We were treated to a selection of mini desserts to share, along with a glass of Prosecco each. This gesture made our experience unforgettable and we would love to revisit The Lookout Restaurant.

We booked this restaurant for our anniversary and were looking forward to a quality dining experience. The food was excellent and we were able to enjoy all three courses thanks to the long gaps between each dish. The decor of the restaurant was more like a cafeteria than a fine dining establishment, and the view from our window table left something to be desired with missing panels. The restaurant is located within a hotel and spa, so the dress code was relaxed. Despite these minor drawbacks, we were there for the food and it did not disappoint.

We dined at this restaurant on Friday, February 2nd with a party of four and it was amazing. We also had lunch on Sunday, February 4th with a group of fourteen and once again, it was exceptional. However, we were disappointed by the afternoon tea service on Saturday.

Lovely food, brilliant service. Would come back again.
