Bidra med feedbackBooked for Sunday dinner and came to the table at 5.15. the lunch of told on Sunday was finished at 5 o'clock, and they didn't want to eat what was not fresh. while we were a little disappointed, I thought that rational was on the spot. from the main menu (steak and ale pie and veggie lasagne) and both were good games for home cooked meals. forget to take photos of the food, so they have to take my word for it! the equipment and the ambiente are chilled, relaxing and a perfectly beautiful place to spend a few Sunday evening hours. the personal is super friendly and very courteous. the best of all, it is dog friendly! for me this is 5* for what it is a typical Sunday-sub-dinner with reasonable trips and no expectation of fine eating etc.
Really nice pub served good food and well kept selection of beer and layiers. two of us came to lunch. friendly bar staff, wide range of good value menu, good selection beer. couple drinks plus ciabbata with chips and sandwich cost us £22. I tend to judge the pub by three things at first glance/experience. 1. the rod brass shining yes, tick, 2. they see the sign well written yes, tick. 3. the toilets are clean yes, tick. if I was nit picking, I would say decor saw something care worn otherwise would have given a well deserved 5 stars. but would be happy to come back. beautiful experience.
Very nice pub not far from the city center and market place. they may not know that it is there, but only 2 minutes to walk to whiting street. very good menu and a good selection of real ales. it is not huge inside, but has outside seats when the weather is beautiful. the staff was friendly, attentive and efficient.
Family-friendly, massive portions, tasty eating, good affordable drinks, alcohol-free options. we repeat customers.
We dropped in for a light lunch and both had lovely fishfinger sandwiches. There was a warm welcome when we arrived and were looked after really well without being imposed upon. Definitely worth a visit. No photos unfortunately as we were too busy enjoying the lovely food!
