Soul Azteka - St. John's

I am a fan of Mexican cuisine and have visited many authentic restaurants in Mexico, California, Arizona, and New Mexico. This restaurant comes close to the authentic flavors found in Mexico. I have tried two other Mexican restaurants in the area and they did not taste as genuine. It seemed like the owners had never been to the Southwest or were afraid to try bold flavors. The restaurant has moved locations and is now being run out of a taco truck called Poco Loco, parked by Manuel River in CBS.

I was here a few times to sit down and took away several times and I'm in love with the black carnitas. it is true that the restaurant in a small building, but the owners have made great improvements...already and with the time I am sure that it will only be better and better! I really like taco Tuesday's because the tacos are smaller than normal tacos so they can eat more of a lot of tacos without getting too full! the tortilla chips, salsa and guac are very addictive (sooo good and the tacos are in the really super. I don't enjoy my meal as much as usual when I had dinner there last night, because the quality didn't seem to be. the tortillas were almost dried and so was a lot of meat, and the fish was unfortunately overcooked in our fishtacos. a real shame as I had invited my mother and it was her first time, but fortunately I know how good they are in the rule and that was one, just not the usual quality. this will not, however, prohibit me from coming back and trying, and I appreciate that I served an additional taco when the ananas was accidentally abandoned by the al pastor I ordered. the owners are very hard working and their whole family is involved in the restaurant! very nice to have some authentic Mexican cuisine in our city many thanks for what they do and I am happy to eat something of their food on the farmer’s market this evening!

The food was genuine and the service was excellent. The restaurant is family-run and it really shows. The tacos were small, but the gringas were huge. The guacamole, salsa, and spicy sauce were all fantastic!

For taco’s on cheap day and it was excellent. very tasty and the restaurant was also cool. would have the regular price for them well paid taco’s but 2 dollar was excellent.

We went to Soul Azteka for Taco Tuesday and it was delicious. We loved the food service was fast considering they were blocked, If you're looking for something filling, flavorful and inexpensive, you've found it here!
