Bidra med feedbackItalian my favorite food. So while in St Louis I had to find a place that was authentic, reasonable prices and great portions This was it
In town for a tournament at the Convention Complex and we were lucky enough to find and walk to Charlie Gitto's! They were more than gracious in accommodating a large group of about 25, especially we kept calling to add more to our reservation. Service and food were fantastic. Especially liked the chicken parmesan and pasta with red sauce. If you are in the neighborhood, I highly recommend you stop in.
Delicious, laid back, right in the heart of downtown. Try the house salad, seafood risotto, and shrimp scampi.
The toasted ravioli appetizer was tasty, and both the seafood pasta and seafood ravioli were excellent! The service was prompt, and after enjoying a wonderful family meal, we had a few drinks with the founder of the three restaurants. It was nice to meet the grandfather, his son, and grandson, who shared some fantastic stories. Overall, it was a great dinner, and I highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for Italian cuisine!
We’ve been frequenting this place for years, and our experiences have been a bit of a mixed bag. On one occasion, we ordered the deep-fried cheese, only for it to arrive cold. After sending it back, it was returned still cold. However, there have also been times when we've enjoyed pleasant meals without any issues. The food is decent, but I’ve noticed that prices have been gradually increasing over the years, which makes me expect more, yet I haven’t seen any significant changes in the quality. This likely contributes to our reduced visits. Nonetheless, there’s something about this restaurant that I genuinely like, and I hope it continues to thrive. If you’re in the area, it’s worth checking out for a unique taste of St. Louis history.
